Seth Ford-Young brings decades of diverse musical experience to this workshop, from his early days as a punk vocalist in DC to his current work as a composer and collaborator across genres. His approach to improvisation is shaped by performances and recordings with artists ranging from Tom Waits, Rocco DeLuca, and Dave Harrington to The Hot Club of San Francisco, informing a style that embraces both structure and creative freedom. Seth's experience in varied musical contexts - from punk to jazz to experimental - inspires him to create an inclusive environment where musicians of all backgrounds can explore and grow together. He currently leads and plays bass for the instrumental group Phi-Psonics (Gondwana Records) and has released multiple albums as a composer and producer.
