Mental + Emotional Health For Musicians

a workshop with saxophonist, composer, and educator Maria Grand

May 31 - 6 PM at the shop. Come early, stay for the show at 8 PM.

Making music can be one of the most meaningful parts of our lives, but it can also bring up anxiety, self-doubt, burnout, overwhelm, and fear of rejection. A lot of musicians quietly struggle with these things, especially while trying to stay creative, collaborate with others, perform, and put themselves out there.

Mental & Emotional Health for Musicians is a workshop designed to offer practical, supportive tools for navigating the emotional side of being an artist. Through simple exercises, meditations, and written prompts, participants will explore self-awareness, emotional regulation, communication, goal-setting, and ways to feel more grounded and present in both music and everyday life.

Led by internationally recognized saxophonist, composer, and educator María Grand, the workshop brings together her experience as both a professional musician and trained relationship consultant. Her approach is thoughtful, accessible, and focused on helping artists build healthier relationships with themselves, their creativity, and their communities.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from your practice, or simply curious about new ways to support yourself creatively, this workshop is designed to meet you where you are.

Come spend time in community with other musicians and creatives in Healing Force of the Universe’s living room and explore what it means to make art in a more connected, sustainable, and compassionate way.
