JOIN THE BAND, HEAL THE UNIVERSE

Healing Force derives its name from the 1969 Albert Ayler jazz album, Music is the Healing Force of the Universe. All of us here, and we expect you, have experienced various levels of healing through the vibrations of music, and we hope to give our children the tools and experience to bring healing to their own lives and those around them through the force of music.

We are offering two seasonal group classes on Saturdays for children and their caretakers from 0-5 years old starting in January. Only eight kids per class.

  • Classes are season based (three months), culminating in an end of season concert for all friends and families to come and watch at the store!

    Every child is assigned an instrument in the band (drums, bass, guitar, microphone) and learns the song (that we collectively choose) over the course of the winter/spring/summer or fall season.

    In addition to song based learning, the kids get a survey of all the instruments and vocabulary words to get an introduction into musical concepts.

    We encourage parents to bring their instruments of choice if they play to help introduce collaboration to their kiddos.

  • Natalie Meadors has over three years teaching experience in vocals, drums, guitar, songwriting and piano, with a speciality in early childhood development at Kid Row in Silver Lake. She has five years experience as a creative writing facilitator for at-risk youth in LA County. She is a singer-songwriter for her own project, Valley Queen, which tours nationwide and a recent songwriter signee for Subpop Publishing.

  • Once-a-week, 45 minute sessions designed for tiny music-makers and parents in a fun, interactive group setting.

    We integrate musical activities, games, and songs into an age-appropriate class designed to inspire and connect! Parents play instruments too! Saturday mornings, January - March, starting January 20.

    $165/month - Includes ONE 45-minute weekly in-store rehearsal/lesson Saturdays at 10 AM.

  • Introductory group lessons teaching future musicians basic musical principles through music and movement in once-a-week, 45 minute sessions.

    Keep your kids inspired this season as they learn about the guitar, bass, keys, drums and singing and become a proper band while dancing, singing, and playing music with one another! Saturday mornings, January - March. Starting January 20.

    $165/month - Includes ONE 45-minute weekly in-store rehearsal/lesson at 9 AM.

  • You can reserve your kiddos’ spot in the band by purchasing the first month below. An additional $165/mo can be accepted either online or in person at Healing Force.
