Battle Elf is a Detroit-formed musical collective led by guitarist Gretchen Gonzales (Slumber Party, Universal Indians), featuring a revolving lineup of collaborators. The name blends ancient and modern—“Gonzales” tracing to Visigothic roots meaning battle and elf—mirroring music that channels Krautrock and deep psychedelia. Often performing alongside visual exhibitions, Battle Elf creates immersive, improvisational experiences that blur sound and sight, activating spaces as living entities. This performance features frequent collaborator Chris Peters (Electric Six).
