Sean Thompson is a born and raised Nashville guitar player. At the age of 17, he started playing shows with his first band, Gnarwhal. He went on from there to play with the likes of Pujol, Nikki Lane, helped form Promised Land Sound, and has since played with Skyway Man, Teddy and the Rough Riders, Becca Mancari, Ornament, Erin Rae, Andrew Combs, Emily Nenni, and others, including on one of our favorite releases last year, Shrunken Elvis, with Spencer Cullum, Jr. and Rich Ruth. He is now on the road as the guitarist in Margo Price's band and will be visiting us on a day off between tour dates.

Sean Thompson's Weird Ears has released two albums and one EP to date: Sean Thompson's Weird Ears (2022) and Head in the Sand (2025) and Time Has Grown A Raspberry (2019) - the laid-back title track is one of our faves.
