Dustin Wong is a visionary guitarist renowned for his fluid, playful compositions that expertly employ loop and delay pedals. Initially emerging from Baltimore’s noise rock scene in the 2000s, Wong gained acclaim with solo albums like Mediation of Ecstatic Energy (2013) and Fluid World Building 101 (2018), reflecting his electronic influences. His collaborations include projects with Japanese pop artist Tujiko Noriko, producing works like Toropical Circle (2013) and the ambient Kannazuki (2019). Raised in Tokyo and influenced by singing in rounds, Wong’s unique sound blends instrumental guitar with innovative textures. His recent releases include the gleeful Perpetual Morphosis (2023) and collaborations with Brin and Patrick Shiroishi.
