Rajna Swaminathan is an acclaimed mrudangam artist, composer, and scholar whose work bridges Karnatik music, jazz, improvisation, and experimental composition. Described by the New York Times as “unlike any other on the scene,” she leads the ensemble RAJAS and is an Assistant Professor of Music at UC Irvine.
