Justin Sullivan made a name as a skilled indie rock drummer before launching his solo project Night Shop. He gained prominence in bands like Bossy with Cassie Ramone and later joined Kevin Morby's Babies. Transitioning to Night Shop, Sullivan released his debut EP in 2017 followed by the full-length In the Break in 2018 on Mare Records. His sophomore album, Forever Night, arrived in 2022 on Dangerbird Records, featuring collaborations with notable musicians like Meg Duffy and Jess Williamson.
Singer-songwriter Leeann Skoda has long been fascinated by female vocalists, years before becoming one herself. She recalls being hypnotized by Mariah Carey’s voice coming through the car radio as a little girl in her hometown of Phoenix. With a voice reminiscent to some of Emmylou Harris or Neko Case, she’s been called “Los Angeles’ sweetheart” since moving to the west coastbecoming a mainstay of the roots music scene.
