Inner Alignment: a modern mexican/southamerican prog rock / fusion / punk / avant - guard, group. It is led by drummer, Isaias Medellin, and keyboardist, Thomas Contreras. Hailing from Texas, this group manages to blend late 70’s and early 80’s South American Fusion, World Music, and Avant - Guard elements, like (Azymouth, Grupo Um, Pedrinho Sampaio, Litto Nebbia, Urbano Moraes, and Spinetta Jade) with a modern, heavy execution. Inner Alignment also takes inspiration from (Magma, Mahauvishnu, Henry Cow, Jon Hassel, Laraaji, and Alice Coaltrane) and mixes late 70’s spiritual jazz, fusion, avant - guard, and 80’s ambient elements with modern sounds inspired by (Tigran Hamasyan, Pedro Martins, Jon Bap, Juuwah, and Dj Harrison) to create lush epics.
