JEMS is a dynamic trio composed of Jessica Rotter, Emily Colombier, and Sarah Margaret Huff. Jessica and Emily, both daughters of classical musicians, collaborated in LA before meeting Sarah Margaret. Their musical chemistry was evident from the start, leading to a successful 2017 solar eclipse tour that sparked their decision to form JEMS. Their self-titled debut album, released in May 2019, was a labor of love, produced by Cazz Brindis and recorded at The Village Studios and a small Laurel Canyon studio. JEMS, known for their enchanting three-part harmonies and deep, emotional storytelling, has garnered praise from NPR and a tour with She & Him. Their second album, Back Around, features expansive harmonies, adventurous instrumentals, and poignant themes. Their music, inspired by the rich musical history of LA and the folk sounds of Laurel Canyon, resonates with listeners through its universal themes and raw emotion.
