Curated by graduate students at the USC Thornton School of Music Dan Leibel, Asher Etlin, Natalie Vo and Amina El Ghazi, we present a one-night community benefit concert. “We wanted this final project to sound like the city, restless, eclectic, and collaborative — and make a difference while doing it,” stated a press release about the event.
The student-produced event spotlights the breadth of Los Angeles’ independent music scene — from a little jazz to a little punk rock–with featured sets by Atticus Finch (“Goldenfinch”) and Eva Smittle (“I’ll Show You Magic”).
Conceived as a capstone project that pairs artistry with service, the concert will donate a portion of proceeds to the Pasadena Community Foundation to support local fire-relief efforts following the wildfires earlier this year.
