Chris Crofton

Chris Crofton is a multifaceted artist whose career spans songwriting, comedy, and acting. Known for his "rootsy existentialist bangers," Crofton’s music combines introspective lyricism with a rugged charm. His latest album, Hello, It’s Me, marks a significant evolution from his boozy rock persona to a clear-headed artist exploring themes of love, loss, and self-discovery.

Crofton’s sound, blending warm folk rock reminiscent of Cass McCombs, Kevin Morby, and John Denver, reflects his eclectic influences. The album, produced by Kevin Ratterman and featuring My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, includes the melancholic yet hopeful "UFO Hunters," which draws parallels between searching for human connection and extraterrestrial life.

Originally from Connecticut, Crofton made his mark in NYC before relocating to Nashville and LA. His career includes edgy, self-deprecating comedy and acting in diverse projects, from experimental theater to TV and film. He’s performed with Deer Tick and comedians like Neil Hamburger, and writes an advice column for the Nashville Scene.
